Life just becomes easier when you find what makes you happy!! Whether it be a place, person, thing, or idea. I have found at least one in each category. A love I have had for a long time that many people know about me is photography! I recently bought my first dslr, a canon t2i. I'm having a lot of fun looking up new lenses and accessories. Aside from the kit lens I just purchased my 50mm 1.8 and a backpack to protect them. Needing a few more lenses and for sure waiting on photoshop. Its definitely not a cheap hobby acquiring everything but I'm already having a blast trying out different shots in different ways. I will post pics very soon.
I'm still cooking up a storm and can't wait to start posting recipes and with fabulous pics of all my holiday treats.
Another major focus of mine that I have been into for 2yrs now is eating healthy and exercise. Its such a great feeling when I'm at the gym sweating. For me the hardest part is getting there, but once I'm there leaving is the furthest thing from my mind. Lately I took on more hardcore lifting and the scale is starting to creep up with my added muscle, definitely looking forward to seeing results to make it all worth it.
I love my house and can't wait to decorate for the holidays this weekend. I really have enjoyed becoming a homeowner. I don't regret my decision at all. It is the perfect situation for me and Tala. There is no yard care required at all which is great for a busy person like myself!
The greatest gift in my life though is most definitely my family and friends. I've been very lucky to have my parents visit several times this yr..much more than recent years. Of course I wish I could see them weekly but I'm still counting my blessings. I def miss my siblings and cousins too!! Unfortunately my closest friends are back in IL and I miss you dearly but love our phone conversations and facebook conversations! I am always checking up on you all and love the pics of you and your kids! As for my friends out here in AZ, my only complaint is that I wish I had more time with you guys! Its always more fun being together than apart!
I'm going back to school in the spring and am definitely going to push myself to finish. As much as I love my job and my life, it isn't permanent. And although I'm still not totally set on what I want to do with a degree, I believe having one will definitely help direct me somewhere if not just be a good boost to my confidence to take chances.
My life isn't going anywhere good if I don't take charge and direction but it will still slip by even if I just try to stand still! I've got my running shoes on and I'm ready for this marathon..long strides, deep breathes and great support! xxo
